PHARMACOLOGY

⍺-β Arteether acts at the erythrocytic stage of malarial parasite by causing lysis of the parasitic cell. It also inactivates ribosomes and inhibits protein synthesis.

INDICATIONS

⍺-β Arteether is contraindicated in patients showing hypersensitivity to artemisinin derivatives.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

⍺-β Arteether is generally well tolerated without any significant clinical toxicity. Mild adverse effects may include; Nausea, dizziness, & tinnitus.

⍺-β Arteether is for INTRAMUSCULAR USE ONLY
