NEOVATE Cream

COMPOSITION:
Each gram of cream contains: ● Clobetasol Propionate BP — 0.05% w/w
● Cream base — q.s.

PHARMACOLOGY

Clobetasol propionate is a super-potent topical corticosteroid. It exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses in the skin.
It provides rapid relief from erythema, itching, swelling, and discomfort associated with severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

INDICATIONS

NEOVATE Cream is indicated for the short-term treatment of severe inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions that are responsive to topical corticosteroids, including:
● Psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis)
● Severe eczema and dermatitis
● Lichen planus
● Discoid lupus erythematosus
● Other refractory steroid-responsive dermatoses

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

● Hypersensitivity to clobetasol propionate or any excipients
● Untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections
● Acne vulgaris, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis
● Use on the face, groin, or axillae unless specifically directed by a physician
● Use in children under 12 years unless prescribed by a healthcare professional

Precautions

● For external use only
● Avoid prolonged use and occlusive dressings unless advised by a physician
● Use the minimum effective amount for the shortest duration
● Discontinue once control is achieved

Adverse Effects

Possible adverse effects, especially with prolonged use, include: ● Burning, stinging, or irritation at the application site ● Hypopigmentation

DOSAGE & APPLICATIONS

Apply a thin layer of NEOVATE Cream to the affected area once or twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Treatment should generally not exceed 2 consecutive weeks, and total weekly usage should be limited.

STORAGE/HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS

● Store below 30°C ● Protect from heat and direct sunlight ● Keep the tube tightly closed ● Keep out of reach of children
