VISIDERM CREAM
COMPOSITION: 1g contains
Betamethasone Dipropionate USP……….. 0.643mg
Gentamicin Sulphate BP eq. to Gentamicin …………1 mg
Tolnaftate USP…… 10mg
Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline……10mg in a cream base.
PHARMACOLOGY
Visiderm Cream contains dermatomycoses agent i.e antifungal, antibiotic and corticosteroid. It is well absorbed on topical application.- Betamethasone is a highly active corticosteroid that has an antiinflammatory activity.
- Gentamicin and Tolnaftate are broad spectrum antibiotics which exert antibacterial and antifungal activity.
- Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline is well tolerated and it gives a soothing effect. It also exerts a sensitive anti fungal and antibacterial activity.
INDICATIONS
For the topical treatment of the following:
- mix bacterial and fungal infections.
- Tinea infections of the skin (ringworm).
- Otitis externa.
- Seborrhoeic dermatitis.
- Contact dermatitis.
- Eczemas.
- Athletes foot.
- Anal & vulva pruritis
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation.
- Herpes simplex, vaccina or varicella.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Safe and well tolerated.
Rarely, some patients show mild to moderate irritation (erythema) that does not usually require discontinuance of treatment.
Other dermal symptoms: Long-term therapy may cause steroidal acne, steroidal skin (skin atrophy, telangiectasis) and changes of the skin such as thinning, purpura, hirsutism and hypopigmentation. Such symptoms may occur slowly, decrease the dosage of this drug and change to non-steroidal drugs.
- Not recommended for pregnant women or lactating mothers.
DOSAGE & APPLICATIONS
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
Apply to the affected area once to several times daily as directed by the Physician.STORAGE/HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS
- Store below 25°C in a cool dry place.
- Keep the tube tightly closed after use.
- Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
